Somalia is located in east Africa, bordering the Gulf of Aden on the north, Indian Ocean on the east, Ethiopia on the west and Kenya on the south. After  the  collapse  of  the  central  government  and  the  fall  into  civil  war,  powerful  internal forces  and regional  dynamics resulted in a state of chaos. The impact of lack of governance has resulted  in  a  generation  without  adequate  access  to  social  services  in general and evidence and research based information and skill in particular and  the  collapse  of  public and private institutions including research and training centers. Establishing of such kind of research center is a good sign for the revival of Somali community as an educated nation competing with its fellow African nations. The main aim behind the information through the engagement of Somali youth in educational and research activities nationwide. establishment of this research center is to foster and develop research based knowledge
